When Connor reached out to gift his parents a family photoshoot in Maui for their anniversary, I could already tell this session would be something special. They chose the stunning Ulua Beach in Wailea, and the evening did not disappoint—calm ocean, soft breeze, and golden light peeking through just the right amount of overcast sky. A moody glow. Pure Maui magic.

The Carson family—just the three of them—brought such a relaxed and connected vibe. Dressed in classic black and white neutrals, they looked effortlessly elegant against the soft blues of the sea and sky. While we mixed in a few traditional posed portraits, it was the candid moments that truly shined: gentle laughter, casual hugs, shared glances, and the kind of peace you only feel when you’re completely present with your people.

They’ve visited Maui before, but this time was different—their daughter, who joined them for the shoot, is now living in Hawaii while attending school on Oahu. You could feel how meaningful it was to freeze this time in their journey together—one chapter ending, another just beginning.
