Some couples start their journey with spark; others, like this one, grow that spark into a decade of warmth, partnership, and playfulness. In February 2025, this amazing couple will celebrate their 10th year together—not just with a wedding, but with a romantic post-wedding photoshoot in Maui, their first time visiting the island together.
From Google Search to Maui Shores
They found me through Google while looking for a Maui photographer who captures candid moments, and what drew them in was my beach-style photography and documentary approach. I was honored to learn that out of everything they’d seen, they simply said, “We trust you.”
That trust means everything.
A Love Rooted in Real Life
Their story isn't built on grand gestures—it’s built on shared Netflix marathons, takeout nights, inside jokes, and the companionship of their sweet furbaby, Tasha. Like many couples juggling full-time careers and modern life, "adulting together" has shaped their bond. They lean on one another through life’s busy rhythms, finding joy in little moments—even running errands and doing chores together.
That, right there, is real love.
Laughs, Sand, and a Willingness to Get Silly
Although they’ve done professional photoshoots before—like their engagement and soon, their wedding—they describe themselves as a bit awkward. But that’s the fun part. During their Maui beach photoshoot, they were open to it all: getting sandy, wet, trying adventurous poses (even if piggyback rides were “iffy” 😂), and letting me guide them while keeping it fun and full of laughter.
Their goal for these images?
To look back 20 years from now and feel joy, peace, fun, and connection. Mission accepted.
